Part One: Off Site Venues
Wooohooo ! I am super excited to start this four part series on off site venues!! That is RIGHT, for this month’s feature we are going OFF the resort. This is also my first time doing a four part series where I get really detailed so let me know if this is something you want to see more of. I know you like all the details because I do too. Part One (this one!) is FULL of Off Site Venue Inspiration for you. Part Two is all about WHY you should consider an off site venue (there are major advantages!). After that, Part Three we are going to be tackling any misconceptions you might have about going off site! Then we are going to finish off Part Four with your FAQ’s (& questions you should ask before committing to off site venues). Now let’s get started and when you are feeling inspired contact me here.
First, let me just give a special mention to Jennifer at Borghinvilla who was incredibly helpful in my research phase in this 4-part series. She was so helpful and offered excellent advice for wedding couples considering off site venues that are sprinkled throughout this series! I can’t wait to work with her on future projects (your wedding, maybe?). Borghinvilla is a JAW-DROPPING venue in Jamaica and I am going to share photos of the venue throughout the series as well. Once I decided to become a specialist in off site destination weddings, Borghinvilla was one of the first off site venues that came to mind. I love the venue, so much that I am going to start this post with featuring them right now!
Borghinvilla in Jamaica
If you think the photos above are gorgeous, just wait. Don’t believe me? Borghinvilla has been featured in Jamaica Experience Magazine, Jamaica Gleaner, Global News, The Wedding Opera, Destination wedding details, Belle the Magazine, The Coordinated bride blog, Black Bride Magazine, Munaluchi Magazine, Jet Fete, Wedding Essentials and more. For couples wanting an experience that is unique to them, Borghinvilla offers a venue with no rules, no restrictions, no outside vendor fees.
Your wedding at Borghinvilla will also be completely private (only one wedding per day on two acres!). For your ceremony, you can choose between a cliff side, beach, deck, or garden setting. You can use the excellent team at Borghinvilla or choose to rent the venue only and build your own wedding team unique to you. The idea of Borghinvilla was to promote all the amazing vendors in Jamaica. Borghinvilla is close to resorts in Runaway Bay and Ochos Rios, and is less than an hour from Montego Bay.
Top 10 reasons why Borghinvilla is the BEST destination wedding venue for you!
aK’iin in Tulum, Mexico
Isla Pasion in Cozumel, Mexico
Sunset Monalisa in Los Cabos, Mexico
This is one of the most beautiful Off Site Venues I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The venue is actually a mediterranean restaurant with amazing food and jaw-dropping views. If food is a top priority for the wedding, you can’t go wrong with their 7 course menu. There is no doubt the food is amazing, but the highlight of the venue is definitely the view, you can literally watch the sunset over the famous Los Cabos Arch. Depending on the size of your wedding, you can rent the whole open-air restaurant so it is completely private. Don’t have the guest count to justify renting out the entire restaurant? You can also rent out a private terrace sine the venue consists of different levels.
Secrets Jewel Celebrations Venue in Riviera Maya, Mexico
Secret Jewel Celebrations Venue believes in “Sharing a piece of paradise for times worth celebrating”. Secrets Jewel Celebrations is located in the middle of the Riviera Maya, where jungle meets beach. They do have a list of preferred vendors, but they also approve any vendor you chose provided they fulfill the quality and service standards that make this venue so wonderful. If you want a party, this venue will let you keep the music going until 1am-3am depending on the day. They also have a big enough space to accommodate up to 200 guests!
Jellyfish Beach Restaurant in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Bavaro Beach is undoubtedly the most gorgeous beach in the Dominican Republic and Jellyfish, is the best Beach Club. Jellyfish has a long standing reputations for throwing amazing weddings, they have been around for a long time. They have a team of on-site wedding planners and Jellyfish decorators that take care of you from overall planning to the smallest decoration. They believe your wedding should reflect you. This seafood restaurant/beach club offers a beautiful venue for your dream destination wedding if you are envisioning white sand, turquoise waters and palm trees.
I could probably have listed at least 10-20 more off site venues that I would highly recommend but the point of this was to just give you a little teaser. If you aren’t sure yet if an off-site venue is right for you, stay tuned in the weeks to come! We will be releasing a new part every friday for July! If this was more than enough inspiration for you, make sure to contact me so we can get started planning your own off-site destination wedding.
